FARRELL — One suspect is in police custody following an armed bank robbery in Farrell Friday.
Farrell police said that two armed suspects entered the First National Bank on Indiana Avenue at 1:21 p.m. wearing masks, wigs and hospital scrubs. Another suspect waited outside, police said.
Police said the two suspects who entered the bank jumped over the counter, stuffed as much money as they could inside of a bag and took off running south from the bank.
Demetrius Harris, 19, of Youngstown, is in police custody but is not cooperating with police, Detective Capt. Chuck Rubano said. He will be charged with bank robbery, and possibly other offenses.
Rubano said he and an agent from the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole agency apprehended Harris behind a house on Stambaugh Avenue.
