Montoursville Borough Police have identified the man arrested in an attempted bank holdup Saturday.

Timothy Maddox, 31, of Montoursville, was brought into custody shortly after demanding an employee at the M&T Bank, 450 Broad St., hand over $500,000 to him.

Police said Maddox came to the bank’s drive-in window with a note asking for the money.

He then fled the scene but was nabbed by police a short time later near the bank.

He was arrested after confessing to the crime, according to police.

A bank employee identified Maddox as the suspect.

Police did not report that Maddox was armed.
