Fifth Third Bank is giving some of its customers a relationship credit after a temporary network outage earlier this month.

On Dec. 6, Cincinnati-based Fifth Third experienced a temporary issue with their connectivity, which caused disruptions for customers trying to use ATMs and other services.

“The $50 credit is our sincere apology and appreciation of our customer’s patience during the service interruption,” Fifth Third said to customers on Twitter.

At the time of the outage, some debit card transactions were also declined.

“We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience and will make every effort to make things right for our customers who were affected,” the bank said at the time of the outage.

Twitter users said the credit is listed as a “Relationship Credit 12/6” on their statements.
