KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Investigators say a man admitted to spending about $2,000 he stole from a Kalamazoo bank at strip club in the area.
The robbery happened Wednesday evening at the Chase Bank on Michigan Avenue. Police say Daniel Solis entered the bank, demanded money from the teller and took off with about $7,000. Solis was arrested on Thursday.
According to court documents, Solis told Kalamazoo police officers that he robbed the bank and then spent $2,000 at Angels in Kalamazoo.
When officers searched his home, they found the clothing worn during the robbery, the note pad used to write the demand note and the vehicle used to drive away in the garage.
Solis is facing one count of bank robbery.
