PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Many will tell you it’s important to have good credit. The Lead Coalition partnered with Community Bank to help locals find ways to improve their credit.
During the event, locals learned about banking, bank products, and other financial tools. Officials with Community Bank say events like this teach everyone about the importance of credit.
“The real big takeaways are going to be how bank accounts work. How budgeting works. Paying yourself first. How to use credit wisely and effectively,” said Florida Division Community Bank President Jason Crowe.
Officials with Community Bank say people at the meeting were eligible for small loans regardless of their credit score to help them start their road to financial recovery.
