Renu Dalessandro recently joined NEFCU as chief marketing officer. In this role, Dalessandro oversees all aspects of marketing and community- and member-focused initiatives, as well as the sales, training and branch operations areas, for the Westbury-based credit union. Prior to joining NEFCU, Dalessandro spent more than four years as head of marketing at Popular Bank US. Under her watch, the bank successfully executed a corporate rebranding in early 2018, and she was a key player in leading the ongoing transformation of the bank’s digital bank concept, its branches and its marketing approach.

Kevin Gallagher is a recent addition to the commercial lending and business banking offices of Dime Community Bank in Melville. Gallagher came aboard as a senior vice president and group leader for Small Business Administration lending. In this capacity, he is responsible for driving SBA business strategy, building new SBA business relationships and growing a pipeline of SBA 7(a) and 504 loans. Gallagher is an experienced SBA lender. Prior to joining Dime, he was director of SBA and small business lending at Cross River Bank.

Sperry Associates Federal Credit Union, a Garden City Park-based credit union that is more than 80 years old, recently promoted Rick Krompinger from director of lending to vice president of lending. The seasoned financial services professional joined Sperry Associates Federal’s management team in 2014 and is credited with helping to grow and diversify the credit union’s lending portfolio. In all, Krompinger has more than three decades of lending experience. He previously spent more than 20 years with AIG. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from SUNY Oswego.

David Molter was recently promoted to vice president of new business development and advisor relations at American Portfolios Financial Services in Holbrook, a privately held, independent broker/dealer that services financial advisors nationwide. The company announced his promotion as part of a restructuring of its sales and new business development area to better address the needs of its existing and prospective advisor relationships. With the promotion, Molter now oversees the team responsible for sales reporting, customer-facing initiatives and American Portfolios-affiliated, advisor-centered goals.

Jonathan Stern is a member of the business banking team at Uniondale-based Flushing Bank, where he serves as vice president. Stern was recently selected as the 2019 Lender of the Year by the New York Business Development Corp. Stern and Flushing Bank work in partnership with the New York Business Development Corp. to offer financing options for small businesses that may not otherwise qualify for traditional business loans.

Janet Verneuille, a veteran of the Long Island banking industry, recently joined The First National Bank of Long Island in Glen Head as executive vice president and chief risk officer. She took the reins from former Chief Risk Officer Christopher Becker, who will succeed the retiring President and CEO Michael Vittorio at the end of the year. Verneuille, who has held senior management positions with several banks, was most recently executive vice president and CFO at Empire National Bank. Previously, she was organizing director and executive vice president at Georgica Bank NA and executive vice president and CFO for BNB Bank.
