Akron police are investigating a bank robbery at the Huntington Bank in Highland Square.

Lt. Michael Miller said the call came in about 10 a.m. Tuesday for a robbery at the Huntington Bank on West Market Street.

A suspect, described as a white man between 50 and 60 years old, entered the bank and passed a note to a bank teller. Miller said no weapons were seen during the incident.

The suspect fled southbound on foot after the robbery with an undisclosed amount of money, Miller said.

No arrests have been made, and no injuries have been reported.

Miller said they are still processing evidence and hope to have photographs of the suspect soon.

An Akron police officer on the scene said the bank is closed for the day.
