Stocks in the news: Infosys, YES Bank, D-Mart, Edelweiss Financial and Snowman Logistics – Economic Times

NEW DELHI: Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 31.50 points, or 0.26 per cent, higher at 12,322.50, indicating a firm start for Dalal Street. Here are a few stocks which may buzz the most in today’s trade:

Infosys: The IT firm audit committee’s clean chit to the top leadership, including CEO Salil Parekh, in the whistleblower case will likely give the company’s shares a gap-up start on Monday. Analysts said a 5-10 per cent upside in the stock in the near term cannot be ruled out.

Indiabulls Housing Finance: Mortgage lender Indiabulls Housing Finance has exited three realty projects of its investee companies across Mumbai, NCR and Hyderabad, worth nearly Rs 450 crore.

YES Bank: Private lender YES Bank board on Friday approved fundraising of up to Rs 10,000 crore through debt and equity. The lender also decided not to proceed with the offer from Erwin Singh Braich/SPGP Holdings. Morgan Stanley said that elevated asset quality stress will weigh on the stock.

D-Mart: Avenue Supermarts (D-Mart) reported a 53.3 per cent year-on-year rise in standalone profit at Rs 394 crore compared with Rs 257 crore posted for the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter rose 23.90 per cent to Rs 6,752 crore compared with Rs 5,451 crore reported for the year-ago period.

Edelweiss Financial Services: Financial services firm Edelweiss Edelweiss Chairman Rashesh Shah on Sunday said the company has no relationship with Capstone Forex, which is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate for foreign exchange rules violation.

Reliance Home Finance: Reliance Home Finance said an independent forensic audit, mandated by lenders, has found no fraud, embezzlement or diversion and siphoning of funds in the company that is seeking debt resolution.

Granules India: Drug firm Granules India is recalling over 2.3 crore ranitidine tablets, used to treat ulcers of the stomach and intestines, from the US market, the latest report of the American health regulator said.

Tata Motors: The company reported a 3 per cent decline in global sales, including that of Jaguar Land Rover, at 97,348 units in December.

Lupin: Drug firm Lupin said it has received two observations from the US health regulator following the inspection of its Nagpur manufacturing facility.

Snowman Logistics: The company, which is being acquired by billionaire Gautam Adani’s logistics arm Adani Logistics, announced the opening of the open offer from February 18.

Tata Steel: Tata Steel said its Netherlands subsidiary has executed agreements for the refinancing of its bank debt and has raised term-loan facilities of EUR 1.75 billion from 19 banks.

HCC: Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) on Friday said its lenders have initiated a carve-out of about Rs 2,100 crore of debt to a third-party-controlled special purpose vehicle.

Delta Corp, Tata Elxsi: The two companies will report their quarterly results on Monday.
