A portion of Front Street was closed for an hour today after a pick-up truck crashed into a harbor business, sending one individual to the hospital.
The Scituate Emergency Communications Center received numerous calls just before noon on Saturday, Sept. 21 reporting that a vehicle drove through the front of Mountain One Bank, located at 54 Front St.
Both the Scituate Police and Fire Departments responded to the calls.
One person was transported to from the scene with non-life threatening injuries.
The pickup truck hit a another vehicle that was parked in front of the bank.
“We are currently exploring all avenues of cause as it pertains to the crash investigation however, at this time preliminary information suggests that operator error was a contributing factor,” Police Officer Taylor Billings said.
The road was fully open again by later that afternoon.
